How long is my personal free trial lesson?
Your personal free trial with Lumina English Learning is typically 25 - 30 minutes long. This trial session allows you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you and get a feel for learning online. No card is required to book the free trial, and it's a great opportunity to experience their teaching style and approach.
Can I switch to a different teacher if we aren't vibing?
Don't worry, we've got a 'no hard feelings' policy! If you don't vibe with your assigned teacher, we can definitely switch you to someone else. Your comfort and progress are our top priority!
If you're feeling uncomfortable, please let us know, and we'll look into it ASAP. We're all about creating a safe and supportive learning environment, and we'll do our best to match you with a teacher who's a great fit for you!

How do I pay for my classes?
Payment made easy! We accept PayPal payments, and please note that payment is required upfront. No payment, no class! It's a straightforward process, and we'll send you the details after booking your lesson. Looking forward to getting you speaking English confidently!
What is the schedule and time zone?
Our schedule is super flexible! Before your trial lesson, we'll send you a form to fill out with your preferred dates and times. We'll match you with a teacher who fits your schedule, and our system will take care of the time zone differences. You'll always be in your time zone, and we'll make sure you never miss a class!
Do you offer group classes?
Yes, we do! We offer group conversational courses where you can practice speaking with other students. It's a fantastic way to improve your English skills, build confidence, and make new friends!
Custom Group Business English sessions can also be arranged specifically for company teams.
Can I get a refund if I'm not satisfied?
Since we pay our teachers for their time, we don't offer refunds for classes you've had. But don't worry, our trial lesson is free, so you've got nothing to lose! If you're not vibing with your teacher, we can switch you to someone else. And if you decide to stop classes, no hard feelings! But we're confident you'll love our lessons.
How do I access the online classroom?
Easy peasy! You'll get a Zoom link from us, and that's where the magic happens! Just click on the link, and you'll be in the online classroom, ready to learn and have fun! Can I reschedule or cancel a lesson?
Yes, life happens! Once you're all set up with us, you'll get the lowdown on how to reschedule or cancel a lesson. We've got a straightforward policy, and we'll make sure it's easy peasy to sort out any changes you need.
Do you offer conversation practice?
Conversation practice is our jam! We offer a conversational course where you can choose between group speaking practice with other students or one-on-one practice with your teacher. Either way, you'll be speaking English confidently in no time!
What levels do you teach?
We cater to all levels! From A0 (total beginner) to C2 (mastery), and we've also got a special spot for the little ones (Kids Level 0-3). Whether
you're just starting out or polishing up your skills, we've got a class that's just right for you!
What if I don’t know my English level?
Don't stress! Just give us a brief rundown of your English experience and how long you've been learning. In the trial lesson, our teacher will chat with you and determine your level based on your speech - and don't worry if you can't speak English at all, it's totally okay! Our teacher is trained to work with you, even if it's just with minimal words or hand gestures. You're just starting out or polishing up your skills, we've got a class that's just right for you!
Can I get a certificate?
Yay, you can! You'll get a certificate when you complete a course with us. It's a great way to showcase your new skills and celebrate your progress!
